JUNE 1ST

Today is June 1st. The weather is great...all week. And the OHL team from my city won the MEMORIAL CUP! The London Knights~ won not only the OHL Championship title, but also the Memorial Cup CHL Championship. And to top it off London hosted the tournament at the John Labatt Centre. Were we ever proud of the Knights! The head coach and owner Dale Hunter and his brother Mark, sure made London the great team it is when they bought them in 2000. They have a lot of fantastic players- such as Corey Perry (the OHL lead scorer), Danny Syvert (best defenceman) and Brandon Prust...but overall they really made a team effort. Hunter played all the lines, and even the 3rd string would score. That's what I love to see, in a great hockey team. In the Championship game on Sunday May 29,2005 the London Knights defeated Rimoski Oceanic 4-0. The Oceanic have the "best" player on the team- Sydney Crosby- a 17 year old superstar player. But it takes more than one great guy to make a great hockey team. This year will be a year to remember in London Sports.

forest city ~ London

forest city ~ London
this day was such a perfect day. the spring time weather was so refreshing and exhilerating. a lot of people were out in this park walking by themselves, with family, or with their dog. it was great to see people getting exercise- biking, rollerblading, jogging, walking.

spring is here....finally

I'm so happy the weather is getting so nice. For some reason the past winter seemed longer than usual. The warmer weather always makes me feel like cleaning. I go on a cleaning spree. I love to get outside more. Going for walks in the parks or around downtown. I will be biking more....and rollerblading when I get to.
The spring and summer means making plans with friends, going to the beach, laying in the sun, swimming, barbeques, campfires, patios, and summer parties. I am really looking forward to this next coming months.

Jackie & Stephanie ~Sisters~

Last week my good friend Jackie was married on February 5, 2005. Our parents are good friends, so we grew up together. She was absolutely beautiful. Her sister Stephanie was her Maid of Honour. These two girls are great- very nice and lots of fun. I was glad I could share in her wedding day. It was a big party after the wedding ceremony....about 230 people. We had a great time.

snowed out

well I was hoping for a snow day at work today....since i work at a school...a university...but no such luck. i was a little late though. i'm the only one here; in the office, so it doesn't really matter that much. my boss is very cool anyway. these are the kind of days that i'm glad i live in a place that has 4 seasons. winters aren't that bad if you dress for it. i wear boots, hat, scarf, mitts, long johns, warm coats, and go for long walks. i love how the air is fresh this time of year. i need to go cross-country skiing again soon. it's amazing how warm you get doing a bit of exercise.

Happy New Year 2005

This is my husband Ed, and I at a New Years Party at the Riverbend Bar in Grand Bend. We had a great time~ dancing ~ singing karaoke~ and drinking~. We rang in 2005 in a good way. We didn't get back to Ed's brothers until 4am. Then a little hot tubbing!
